As the days pass, your friends see you moving ever more slowly as you approach the event horizon. Soon, your friends see you as almost frozen. They see only the slightest movement over 10 years of watching you. Generations and generations live and die and your great-great-great-great-great grandkids still see you approaching the black hole. People on earth will never see you enter the event horizon. Infinity will pass and from humanity's point of view you will still be crawling toward the black hole, closer and closer but never quite getting there. But on your clock, only about 2 months have passed since leaving earth.

As you cross the event horizon, you realize that something significant has changed. Space-time is so warped as you get closer to the singularity, that space and time become inverted. You can no longer move in space, but you can move anywhere you want in time! Yet outside the event horizon back on earth, eternity has already passed.
